Family Fun Days

Join us during the school holidays for family-friendly fun in the woods at our three seasonal events: Easter, summer, and winter. Enjoy a range of nature-themed activities like woodland crafts, interactive trails, bio-blitzes, wildflower planting, and puppet theatre. A fantastic day out for all ages!

Woodland Explorers

Looking for a fun, adventurous and active school holiday activity? Kids can become Woodland Explorers at Walkmill and get hands-on with nature. They'll enjoy activities like shelter-building, woodland crafts, and learning about the amazing wildlife all around them in a safe, engaging environment.

Free, but booking is required to secure their spot.

Wellness Walks

In partnership with Copeland Haven PCN, we host monthly drop-in wellness walks on the last Friday of every month, meeting at 11am at the Walkmill Woods car park. These gentle, accessible walks end at the forest school area with hot drinks from the Kelly kettle and toasted marshmallows around the fire.

Free, no booking required.

Wellness Activities

We offer a changing programme of wellbeing sessions throughout the year. Our activities focus on mindful engagement with nature and include woodland crafts, seasonal workshops, forest bathing, willow weaving, and even laughter workshops. Take a moment for yourself.

Free, but booking is required.

Wildlife Watch

Every so often, we organise a Bioblitz at Walkmill. It’s a chance to explore the woods, peer into the undergrowth, and record as many species as possible – from animals to plants and fungi – revealing the incredible diversity that calls Walkmill home.

Free, but booking is required.
